ZTE Axon 60 Ultra announced with 5.5G, satellite connectivity, Snapdragon chip, and more

ZTE today held a presentation event for the Axon 60 Ultra, its new high-end cell phone with advanced connectivity via 5.5G, the world's fastest mobile network now available through China Mobile operator. It also features satellite connectivity via China's Tiantong system, which allows you to make and receive text messages and voice calls.

In addition, ZTE's multi-antenna switching algorithm allows the phone to integrate the mobile network with the satellite system to improve data transmission while reducing latency even when coverage is restricted. The maximum speed over 5.5G is 10 Gbps for downloading and 1 Gbps for uploading files.

The display of the ZTE Axon 60 Ultra is a 6.78-inch, 120Hz, 1220p OLED, while the cell phone platform is Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. ZTE did not reveal the amount of each type of memory in this model.

In the camera system we find a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies and a triple camera system on the back – with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and an unspecified macro sensor.

The ZTE Axon 60 Ultra has a battery capacity of 6000 and is made of carbon silicon to make the cell phone thinner, while maintaining high capacity and supporting 80W fast charging. Finally, the smartphone has also received IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
