Vodafone was the first to announce that it would be cutting off its 3G network. This was followed by NOS and Altice, who also announced the dates for this operation. If you are an Altice / MEO or NOS customer, you will know when you will not be able to access the 3G network.

3G (third generation) is a mobile communications technology that succeeded 2G (second generation) and brought significant improvements in terms of data speed and information transmission capacity.  It was launched in the early 2000s and marked a milestone in the evolution of mobile networks.  3G download speeds ranged from about 384 Kbps to 2 Mbps.  The technology has also introduced new features such as video calling, video conferencing, and improved audio and video quality.
