This Saturday, the 30th, the Ministry of Health is promoting a multiple vaccination campaign that will take place in all Basic Health Units (UBS) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the time to update your card and your child’s card, as some previously controlled diseases are currently showing signs of returning, such as measles and polio. With the outbreak of the pandemic, vaccine coverage for other immunity has shown an alarming decline.

The consequences of people not being vaccinated against COVID-19 are already known, as this group currently has the highest mortality rate and accounts for more than 70% of the total. With these cases circulating in the media every day, other vaccines are losing focus, but they are vaccine-preventable diseases, and the lack of them can leave sequences and even lead to death.

The only strategy to prevent diseases from haunting society again is to keep the vaccination booklet up to date. This applies to any disease.

Next Saturday, vaccinations against COVID-19 will be offered at UBS Jardim Paraná, Fiúza, Ribeiro, Maria Isabel, Vila Operária and Bonfim, all routine vaccinations for children and adults and influenza vaccination for seniors aged 60 years and over, and children from 6 months to 5 years, health professionals, pregnant and postpartum women.
