Scientists already know how to spot diabetes before the first symptoms appear

uA team of scientists from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. He argues that there is a molecule that can help predict diabetes even before the first symptoms of the disease appear. This was revealed by a study published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism.

To enable early diagnosis of diabetes, researchers have looked for simple and affordable alternatives, such as regular blood testing. In this type of test, when the 1,5-anhydroglucitol molecule (a type of sugar) is at levels considered low, it is an indication that the person in question may have diabetes.

Remember that diabetes is a “silent” chronic disease that affects all ages and both sexes. It is characterized by an increase in blood sugar, which leads to high blood sugar. Warning signs can go unnoticed in type 2 diabetes, the most common type of diabetes that appears when the pancreas cannot produce enough insulin or when the body does not use it properly.
