The war in Ukraine – condemns the Wagner Group

The OSCE condemned the Wagner Group as a terrorist organization in a statement from its 30th annual meeting – this time from Vancouver, Canada.

In the 73-page decision, the OSCE states, among other things, 23 points condemning the Wagner Group as a terrorist organization – and asking all OSCE member organizations to act against the group.

– The OSCE decides that the actions of the Wagner Group on behalf of the Russian authorities can be described as terrorist in nature, and therefore the term terrorist organization is appropriate, as stated in the declaration.

The OSCE also condemns Belarus – which offered Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin and Wagner members amnesty and the opportunity to set up a military base in the country. According to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the establishment of the Wagner base in Belarus poses a danger to other countries in the Baltics.

The leader of the OSCE delegation in parliament, Seif Mosleth, told Dagbladet she supported condemning Belarus.

“I support the statement that is now part of the Vancouver Declaration, which condemns the current government in Belarus, and supports democratic Belarus,” Moselleth wrote in an email.
