Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro were presented globally at the end of February in Barcelona. Now that they were preparing to enter the market, their capabilities should be fully exploited.
If you have already pre-ordered, or are considering purchasing the Xiaomi 13 or Xiaomi 13 Pro in the future, there is something new about the device that you should know. This was revealed during the show, and Lei Jun reinforced it on the social network Twitter.
“Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro users can now have full control over their refresh rate preferences. With this new feature, you can customize which apps you want to enjoy with a 120Hz refresh rate.”
In practice, users will be able to choose which applications they want to take advantage of the 120Hz refresh rate. And if you find that you don’t want to make use of it in some apps, the choice is entirely yours.
This is one of the most interesting features announced by Xiaomi and it will be present on both smartphones. It will definitely help save some battery power for some users, who don’t see the need to use the refresh rate on unnecessary apps.
What hasn’t been revealed is whether this will remain an exclusive feature for Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro. This is likely to be the case, but it would be nice to see the feature made available on other devices with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This is because it does not appear to be something based on the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro devices.
