After launching larger groups of up to 512 people for some users, WhatsApp is now working on a beta version for another feature: the ability to leave groups silently.
According to WABetaInfo, a website that anticipates news about the app, the tool is still in development and not ready for a beta release, and that’s considered publicly acceptable, even if there are bugs or fixes are needed.
Despite this, WhatsApp is working on implementing the mechanism in future updates, and there is no date yet.
Interest in resources is justified. In the event that you want to leave a WhatsApp group, the other people in the chat will not be notified, which may avoid any inconvenience. Only administrators will be able to see who has left, as they should always be notified of what is happening in their groups.
The update is likely to be rolled out to WhatsApp for Android and iOS in the future. But this feature is currently under development in the desktop version of the app.
